Energy Savings Module (ERASE™) reduces energy lost due to heat dissipation through the conductor (resistivity). PowerCalc automatically calculates, and re-calculates for changes, conductor sizes circuit-by-circuit to minimize energy loss and maximize energy savings.
The concept is simple: the smaller the conductor size, the higher the resistivity and the more energy lost in the transmission of electricity. Inversely, the larger the conductor size, the lower the resistivity and less energy lost.
PowerCalc’s patented software allows for the automation of the thousands of computations necessary to calculate these energy losses/energy savings while displaying reduction in kWh used. These savings are material especially in buildings with continuous loads such as industrial facilities, restaurants and data centers.
